Semi truck, trailer repair facility to open in North Salt Lake
Legacy Truck Center, a new semi truck and trailer repair business, is slated to open in about 11,000 square feet at 1000 W. Center St. in North Salt Lake next month.
The company has purchased three buildings on 10 acres at the site. Legacy Truck Center will be located in a portion of a 33,700 square foot structure. The balance will be made available as office space, as will seven acres of yard and two smaller buildings, one 4,000 square feet and the other 4,800 square feet, according to Mike Lennon, a partner in the new venture.
Legacy Truck Center, he said, will have seven bays, employ about nine people and be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. six days a week.
“What’s going to be unique about us is we’ll also be able to do truck wheel alignments, which is not being done in Davis County,” he said. “That’s part of the reason we’re doing this.”
Lennon, who said he has been in the used truck repair business in Utah and California for 27 years, said he has hired David Milenoff as service manager.
“He has about 20 years in the transportation industry. and he’s been pretty much the guy getting the word out,” Lennon said.
Legacy Truck purchased its North Salt Lake property with the assistance of Gleed Toombes of Commerce CRG. Equity Realty also was involved in the transaction.
