ACCOMACK: Truck spillage causes string of U.S. Route 13 crashes this morning

A number of Eastern Shore of Virginia fire and rescue companies are responding to several vehicle crashes in different areas from Parksley to the Maryland Line on U.S. Route 13 after a truck spilled a slick fluid.

police and rescue dispatchers reported at least four vehicles had run off the road because of what one reported was “an oil-like substance” in the roadway.

One of the vehicles reportedly had overturned. The right lane of northbound U.S. Route 13 is affected.

Five Eastern Shore of Virginia fire and rescue companies are responding.

Drivers are advised to take measures to avoid the incident.
